Rants and All the Rest

Ok, so the last journal was a bit quick, and I was so thinking of other stuff. I'm having a time out right now, which is nice.

I haven't really been able to think at all the last few days, work has been really busy (as always before Christmas) and I've had to cover for one of my colleagues, as well as the fact that my boss has been expanding my work hours. Today I have the day off though, and I'm at my dad's house, where I plan to stay for a while.

At DeviantART I've got like 800 new deviations I haven't been able to keep up with lately... Oh well, we'll see about that today.

Anyway, work has been hard lately. I work well with almost all the people there. Almost. There's one of my colleagues who seems a bit out to get me. Or, rather, out to get anything younger than 30 years. It's not just me who gets picked on, that's a relief, but it's just annoying that when you try to help it's never good enough. It's like "do it yourself then" and "no good deed goes unpunished". The others there are all relaxed but this one has to control everything. I'm thinking "why bother asking me for help when you're going to do it all again in what is regarded as the right way?" and I'm not sloppy you know. None of the younger people working with me are, but we're not trusted at all with this one. It's not like we're working there, it's like we're back in school, being watched in recess in case we do something wrong. So the best thing's just staying out of the way when we're both there at the same time (which thankfully doesn't happen all the time), and do some work in a different part of the store, or offer your services to someone who actually appreciates the help. Ok, a bit of a rant there, I just got a bit fed up yesterday, so I'm really glad I have the day off. This is when I start fantasising about working for the post office, standing by a conveyor belt tossing each package in each of their directions... But there'd probably be a dumbass there too, most work places seem to have at least one.
Oh well.

Anyway, there's a contract on the way for me from the US, for the book cover photo, so that's pretty exciting. Seems to just about be in the bag.

I have the most brilliant system with 120 free calling minutes and 90 free text messages a month... And I generally don't use more. I got this subscription in May, and since then I've only payed 57 kroner, and that's just because I was phoning to Portugal a lot.
